At Taseko, we believe in empowering youth to go Beyond Potential. That’s why we are proud to support students pursuing careers that support the mining industry and help build strong and healthy communities.
The Creating Opportunities Scholarship program was developed to provide students an opportunity to unlock their own true value, and to deliver opportunity to communities, people, and the environment.
This year, Taseko will be awarding multiple $1,500 scholarships to students graduating from high schools in the Cariboo (Williams Lake and Quesnel) and North Thompson (Barriere and Clearwater) Regions.
The scholarships are available to students entering post-secondary education in a discipline that supports or contributes to the mining and resource development sector or promotion of community health and wellbeing, including but not limited to: Engineering, Sciences, Health and Safety, Environmental Studies, Regulatory Affairs, Indigenous Governance, Skilled Trades, Nursing, Psychology, Kinesiology, Teaching or other related disciplines.
